Families will learn how Dr. King and others took action for freedom and justice to ensure that all people are treated fairly and equally. The program begins with storytelling and artmaking focusing on legendary figures who bravely stood up for civil rights such as Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass, Rosa Parks, Ruby Bridges, John Lewis and more. Through shared activities, families will connect these stories to ideas of courage, kindness, fairness, and working together to build a stronger community.
