jumpstART: Electric Kiln Basics

Interested in learning more about electric kilns? Join teaching artist Zach Ozma for a behind-the-scenes tour of Fleisher’s kiln room and an introduction to basic kiln topics. This workshop will cover kiln construction, parts, loading, firing temperatures, and other maintenance concerns. This workshop is designed for people with any level (or no) experience operating an electric kiln and participants are welcome to bring topics and questions of their own.Accessibility Note: This studio is accessible by elevator, but some auxiliary areas require stairs.
