12 Hour Photo: Black & White Darkroom Marathon (one-day workshop)

Did you ever wish you’d learned to develop and print black-and-white film and photographs in the darkroom, but just never had the time? Are you experienced with darkroom photography, but looking for a new challenge? Join Fleisher faculty Ahmed Salvador for this workshop. There are no prerequisites for this offering, which is open to students at all levels. Beginners will learn all the basic skills including:1. How to operate your 35mm camera settings for greater control2. How to develop black-and-white film, and how to print from negatives3. How to print and manipulate black-and-white images in the darkroom Students with more experience will work alongside the instructor to finesse their prints with knowledge of printing techniques such as dodging and burning, using contrast filters, etc. Accessibility Note: This studio has partial stair access.
