City Winery Philadelphia presents The Garcia Project live on November 1st at 7:30pm. We’re so happy to welcome The Garcia Project back to City Winery Philadelphia on Sunday, November 1, for what has become an annual stop on their fall tour from Maine to Florida! Sundays have always been something special with The Garcia Project. Sometimes affectionately called “Jerry’s Church,” these Sunday gatherings are a chance to come together, listen, dance, sing, and get lost in the music. Those who have seen The Garcia Project before already know. If you haven’t, don’t miss this show. It’s about as close as you can get to stepping back into a Jerry Garcia Band show from the ’70s, ’80s or ’90s. The Garcia Project recreates complete, classic Jerry Garcia Band performances from 1976–1995, using era-specific gear along with the classic arrangements, tempos, tones, instrumentation and feel that made each period of JGB so distinctive. It’s not just the songs—it’s the whole experience. Longtime Jerry Garcia Band vocalist Jackie LaBranch said it best: “They remind me of what it felt like to sing these beautiful songs with Jerry Garcia.” Whether you like to sit back and really watch and listen, or you want to get up and move, we’ve got you covered. We’re making some room for dancing while also offering reserved seating. Great sound, great food and great vibes will be there for sure.
