Winter on the Waterfront
Winter on the Waterfront is an annual holiday celebration at the Independence Seaport Museum on the Delaware River waterfront. The day features maritime-themed crafts like seaport snowflakes, knot-tying ornaments, and gingerbread boats built in the Seaport Boat Shop. Visitors can also take special holiday tours aboard the historic cruiser USS Olympia, the oldest steel warship still afloat. A partnership with Holy Cannoli brings a cannoli flavor contest celebrating Philadelphia's Italian heritage, with the winning creation featured at the shop in January. Activities are included with general admission and free for museum members.
