Early Evening Jazz at Time
Rotating jazz trios play Thursday through Saturday from 6–9 p.m. at Time Restaurant on Sansom Street. A $5 per-person music charge supports the musicians directly. The venue offers three distinct spaces: a dining room, a whiskey bar with 200+ bottles, and an upstairs Bohemian Absinthe Lounge. Laid-back cocktail-lounge atmosphere in historic Old City.

Sundays 10am-2pm year-round under the 18th-century Shambles—the oldest surviving market structure in the country, designated a National Historic Landmark in 1966. According to PhilaHistory.org, the market was established in 1745 by mayor Edward Shippen and Joseph Wharton. The Food Trust has operated it since 2007 with 40+ vendors at peak season. Accepts SNAP/EBT, Food Bucks, and WIC/senior vouchers. Winter hours (January-April) shorten to 10am-1pm. Pets no longer permitted inside the Shambles as of March 2025.
