An Introduction to printing on the Risograph at the Soapbox Community Printshop in Philadelphia! About this event Show up and get ready to draw! Work together to create a collaborative two-color, 12-page riso zine with the fun theme of Spring! Leave your computer at home, we will have the supplies you need for this analog project! Workshop attendees will learn the basics of risograph printing, and get hands-on experience not only in operating a risograph but also in laying out a zine for print. No prior experience is necessary! Participants will receive five copies of the zine and skills to incorporate risography into their own practice! Please note: Masking is now encouraged, but optional in the studio space. Individuals who feel uncomfortable using the space with others unmasked, whether for health or any other reason, are welcome to request mask wearing while they are using the studio space. About the Instructors Corey Bechelli draws comics and makes zines. For 20 years he's been printing and self publishing weirdo little books, and has displayed his work at zine fests, comic shows, flea markets, and art book fairs throughout the country. Dre Grigoropol is an illustrator and multimedia artist. She is a graduate of Moore College of Art and Design. Dre has years of digital art teaching experience. She has a deep passion for arts and creativity, enjoys painting, is involved in numerous artist groups and is a board member at the Soapbox. For more go to Dretime.net
