Shaped Plates & Chine Collé: Tetrapak Intaglio

This is a two session class Whether you’re brand new to tetrapak printing or looking for new ways to utilize this experimental and sustainable process, this workshop is for you! Tetrapak printing is a non-toxic form of intaglio printmaking the uses recycled materials you may already have at home. Students will learn how to create drypoint intaglio designs by drawing directly onto tetrapak material, as well as how to use a Cricut machine to create custom-shaped plates. We’ll expand on this process by exploring chin collé, a printmaking technique that allows you to use mulberry paper to create color within your print.
