Open Streets: West Walnut

Center City District closes eight blocks of Walnut Street to cars every Sunday this fall and hands them to people. Walnut from Broad to 19th, plus 18th Street from Chestnut to Locust, becomes a stroll-shop-socialize stretch: sidewalk seating spills into the street, Rittenhouse Row shops and restaurants open onto it, and there's room to wander.
