Two Day Panel Mosaic Workshop

Thursday, March 26 & Friday, March 27 Ages 18+ Good for: Artists of all abilities, Creating a large mosaic, Learning the Zagar Method for bigger projects $140 per adult $110 per PMG member Location: Magic Gardens Studio, 1002 Watkins Street, Philadelphia BUY TICKETS In this two day workshop PMG’s Preservation Team will lead you in creating your own 16” x 24” mosaic panel using the Zagar Method of mosaicking. Learn to break tile and cut mirror, plan your design, place tiles, and grout. Discover this freeing and versatile art form with staff that have trained with PMG creator Isaiah Zagar and are responsible for maintaining the mosaics at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens. All supplies are included. Participants may arrive as early as 10:30 a.m. to view our Magic Gardens Studio location, which is open on a limited basis. Your finished, unframed mosaic will need to be taken home after the second class. Framing is available for a discounted rate at New Image Art & Framing, 601 S. 9th Street. More information will be provided in class. This workshop is held at our Magic Gardens Studio location (1002 Watkins Street), NOT at the Magic Gardens Museum.
