Juilliard Quartet
When PCMS last presented the renowned Juilliard Quartet with pianist Marc-André Hamelin, in 2019, a prolonged ovation followed a glorious interpretation of Dvořák’s Piano Quintet in A Major. “This was a performance, above all, of high polish and efficiency” ( Philadelphia Inquirer ). For their return appearance, the Juilliard and Hamelin—an artist known the world over for his unrivaled blend of consummate musicianship and radiant technique—unite for César Franck’s mammoth Piano Quintet in F Minor, a work that roils with passion and searing emotional intensity.
