Music Quizzo at Prohibition Taproom
Every other Monday at 8 p.m. at Prohibition Taproom, the gastropub at 501 N. 13th Street in the Spring Arts neighborhood. The building has hosted pubs since the 1800s; the current incarnation opened in 2008, featuring 13 taps plus a hand-pulled cask line pouring Hoppy Lil' Hudson—an English-style IPA brewed exclusively by Sterling Pig and named after owners Michael and Jeniphur Pasquarello's daughter. The dimly lit space has a jukebox and locally farmed comfort food designed to pair with American craft beers. Half-price Whiskey Wednesdays the night before make for an easy two-night visit.
Open Mic at 254
Every other Monday at 8:30pm in the Gayborhood's recently rebranded three-story venue (formerly Tabu, before that iCandy). The ground floor is a sports bar, upstairs is a dance club and cabaret space, and there's a rooftop deck for warmer months. New ownership took over in October 2024 with plans to shift toward more of a restaurant vibe while maintaining LGBTQ+ focus.
