Every Thursday in the Gustav Plankenhorn Room at the Cannstatter Volksfest-Verein, one of Philadelphia's oldest German-American clubs, founded in 1873. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with bingo starting at 6:30 p.m. The $15 admission package gets you in; the $35 dinner combo includes extra games and a German-American meal (pre-order by Thursday at noon). The club sits on 10 acres in Northeast Philadelphia, on property once owned by the brother-in-law of President James Buchanan.

Thursday nights from 7:30–10 p.m. at this Bella Vista cocktail bar from the Two Robbers vodka-soda team. The Lodge opened July 2025 in the former Hawthornes space at 11th and Fitzwater, with wood-paneled walls designed to feel like an actual countryside lodge. No cover. Rotating jazz trios complement the 20-drink cocktail list, including the Two Robbers World Famous Martini (dirty, with thyme-rosemary-fennel infused olive brine).
