Bring your ears and imagination, and let The Philadelphia Orchestra take you on a musical ride you won’t forget! Join us for a lively, fun-filled concert designed especially for young ears. The program begins with Mozart’s playful Overture to The Marriage of Figaro , followed by Copland’s bright and rhythmic Variations on a Shaker Melody from Appalachian Spring. Plus, discover the charm of the “Toy” Symphony, a delightful piece full of surprises. The highlight of the concert is Britten’s The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra. This engaging work introduces every instrument of the orchestra, giving each its moment to shine and helping young listeners explore the colors, sounds, and personalities of the ensemble. This concert is an exciting introduction to the magic of music, perfect for kids and families. 10:00 AM Arrive early and enjoy crafts, the photo booth, and a musical performance on the Plaza Stage by the students of the All City Orchestra and Jazz Fellowship program.
