In our current exhibition, “ Face to Face ,” we explore the mosaicked portraits of Isaiah Zagar, founding artist of the Magic Gardens. Sometimes Isaiah paints an entire portrait on a single salvaged tile. In this exhibition, he often paints a single eye or mouth on a tile, then combines it with other pieces to create a portrait.
