Free Family Fishing at FDR Park
Free Family Fishing takes place every Wednesday from 4 to 6:30 PM at the lakes in FDR Park in South Philadelphia. Discovery Pathways provides rods, bait, and instruction at no cost. All ages are welcome and no fishing license is required. The program runs from April 22 through August 5, takes a break, then returns September 16 through October 28. The lakes hold bass, catfish, sunfish, bluegill, carp, and more. FDR Park is located at 1500 Pattison Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19145. By SEPTA, take the southbound Broad Street Line to NRG Station at Broad and Pattison. No registration is required — just show up.
