    American tenor Matthew Polenzani delivered an unforgettable recital during his spring 2024 PCMS appearance, captivating audiences and prompting enthusiastic requests for his return. For his highly anticipated encore, Polenzani will be joined by pianist Ken Noda in a performance culminating with Schubert’s Schwanengesang (“Swan Song”). Composed in the final months of Schubert’s life, this haunting collection of 14 songs, widely regarded as one of his most profound creations, explores themes of longing and loss, with the presence of a distant beloved lingering throughout.     This conversation will be moderated by Larry Platt. Larry Magid’s 60+ year career in music and entertainment began in 1962.
