The African American Market at FDR Park is an outdoor Saturday marketplace celebrating Black culture, food, and creativity. The market runs every Saturday from May 2 through October 31, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, at picnic areas 13 and 14 inside FDR Park. Vendors are independent, Black-owned businesses offering food, pastries, juices, artwork, vintage clothing, handmade jewelry, candles, soaps, and artisan crafts. The market was founded by South Philadelphia native Karen Harris to give Black entrepreneurs their own space alongside FDR Park\'s other weekend markets. New vendors are welcome to apply. FDR Park is located at 1500 Pattison Avenue & South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19145, with car entrances on Pattison Avenue, Pattison Avenue at 20th Street, and Broad Street near the I-95/Navy Yard intersection.
