The tale of a mysterious knight whose shrouded identity must never be revealed and who travels by swan boat to rescue a princess, Lohengrin is the stuff of legend, both in content and reputation. Yannick’s “ravishing” ( Observer ) 2023 Metropolitan Opera performances won effusive praise: “his orchestra covered itself in glory: the strings float with gossamer lightness and the resplendent trumpets … raised the hairs on the back of my neck.”
