Tuba Christmas began in 1974 at Rockefeller Plaza as a tribute to legendary tubist William J. Bell, born on Christmas Day in 1902. Today, it takes place in more than 200 cities around the world, bringing thousands of musicians together to celebrate the holidays in harmony.
