Every Thursday in the Gustav Plankenhorn Room at the Cannstatter Volksfest-Verein, one of Philadelphia's oldest German-American clubs, founded in 1873. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with bingo starting at 6:30 p.m. The $15 admission package gets you in; the $35 dinner combo includes extra games and a German-American meal (pre-order by Thursday at noon). The club sits on 10 acres in Northeast Philadelphia, on property once owned by the brother-in-law of President James Buchanan.
