Following three acclaimed PCMS performances, including two with brother Sheku, Isata Kanneh-Mason—one of Britain’s most exciting young pianists—returns to Philadelphia for an imaginative solo recital. Her program encompasses Beethoven’s Moonlight and Waldstein sonatas, new works by Bulgarian-British composer Dobrinka Tabakova, and Ravel’s epic Gaspard de la nuit , one of the most demanding virtuoso works in the entire piano literature. “Kanneh-Mason realizes every expressive moment with sensitivity” ( The Guardian ).
