Displaced Flowers; Still In Bloom involves large-scale premier screenings of Walé Oyéjidé’s "The Voyagers", “Bravo, Burkina!”, and “Do You See Me”. The films will be accompanied by live scores from Immanuel Wilkins and his quartet, paying spiritual homage to Philadelphia’s musical legend John Coltrane. In a marriage of Philly’s most cherished artforms, audiences will enjoy vivid displays of Black cinema, fashion, dance and classical American music. The displayed films will range from narratives produced locally in Philadelphia, to West Africa and Italy.
