Lightman is an award-winning singer, songwriter, and self-taught producer, who debuted with Lava Records on the Billboard Hot 100 with her first single landing in the top 20. Since then, she has gone on to have a successful career spanning 20 years sharing stages with artists such as Jewel, Rob Thomas and Prince. Lightman's most recent single "Higher" climbed to #1 on the iTunes charts. With over 100 placements in film and TV, Lightman's smooth, soulful voice soars over beautifully penned songs of self-reflection through the journey of life. Lightman recently won the Emerging Songwriter Warrior award sponsored by SONA and YouTube Songwriters and is a newly elected songwriter governor for the New York Chapter of the Recording Academy.
